You may need internet temporarily to download the model files. After a model is loaded, the chat runs locally in your browser.

What you still need

Your hardware does the work

A modern browser with WebGPU support, such as Chrome, Edge, Safari, or similar browsers.
Enough storage/cache for model files, often around 1-6GB depending on the model.
Enough memory or VRAM for the model you choose. Smaller models are best for older devices.
